We host these tournaments on the following holidays:
» Remembrance Day (November 11)
» Christmas to New Year’s break
» BC Family Day (February)
Outdoor tournaments take place during:
» Easter Monday
» May Long Weekend
» Canada Day
» Truth and Reconciliation Day
We keep outdoor tournaments to one day to:
» Leave more time for family on long weekends
» Keep costs down (less travel, no hotels)
» Reduce time between games
» Lower commitment for teams and families
Indoor tournaments are more complex because:
» We play in converted hockey arenas
» These arenas are expensive to rent (same cost as hockey)
» We usually have access to only one arena field
» Only one game can be played at a time, requiring a multi-day schedule
A Jamboree Tournament is:
» A fun, fast-paced event
» Includes round-robin games followed by knockout rounds
» Teams usually play 5 short games (25 minutes each)
» Designed so final matches are evenly matched
» Great for mixed skill levels – fewer blowouts, more fun!
» Usually but not always, games played on smaller fields with smaller rosters.
» Designed so players can get more touches on the ball in a shorter period of time allowing an entire tournament to be played in a single day to save on time, travel and expenses.
» Easier to find enough committed players to fill a smaller roster.
» The most popular and exciting fast passed tournament around. Just ask anyone who has participated.
